Red Hat/JBoss Communications Platform Pilot Program

Overview

Red Hat recently acquired the assets of Mobicents.org. These assets primarily consist of a JSLEE server, a set of resource adapters enabling network abstraction across a range of communications protocols and an array of service enablers aiding rapid service development. Red Hat is integrating these assets with existing middleware assets to form the Red Hat Communications Platform that supports the development, deployment and management of next generation communication services combining voice, video, audio and data. The platform will be offered to the Telecommunications ecosystem (OEMs, IT Infrastructure Providers, ISVs, NEPs, and Operators) as a communications enabling software that can be integrated into broader service delivery platform offerings.

Red Hat estimates a six to nine month timeline for the productization of the Red Hat/JBoss Communications Platform. To accelerate the timeline, a pilot program has been established aimed at partnering with leading Communications companies to support near term deployments and define the future direction and priorities of the Communications Platform.

Checklist: Pilot Program Qualification

  • I am currently using (or am interested in using) Mobicents software in house to develop applications and services
  • I would feel more comfortable using Mobicents software if it were offered as a fully supported Red Hat product offering
  • I see value in contributing to Red Hat's productization effort
